This will be a technical talk discussing some of the architecture internals of Apache Cassandra and how it differs from PostgreSQL.

Specifically we will cover how Cassandra provides no single point of failure, multi-master writes, cross data-center replication, and tunable consistency. While at the same time comparing these with the PostgreSQL approach.

Attendees will learn quite a bit about distributed databases and how they work.
