Hybrid Applications using MongoDB and Postgres
MongoDB and Postgres are both commonly used in web applications. It is often unclear with one should use one or the other, or if a combination is really ideal. During this talk, we will discuss the ideal use cases for each, and how they can be used in conjunction.
We will discuss a number of possible ways to to use them both: – Replicating MongoDB into Postgres for reporting – MongoDB for caching – Mixed environments – Using Hadoop to process data in either direction
